If you are being abused, you are not alone. In fact, 4 million American women experience a serious assault by a partner each year 1 and on average, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends every day.2

What you should know:
  • Abuse can have a lasting effect on you and your baby.
  • After your baby is born, the abuse may worsen. The person who is abusing you may abuse your child too.
  • Abuse can take many forms. It can be physical, sexual or emotional.
